The Challenge
College Connect UK manages the end-to-end university application process for international students applying to UK institutions. Their team was coordinating complex, multi-stage admissions workflows across disconnected tools with no centralised system for tracking student progress, managing documents, or communicating status updates. As their client base grew, the lack of a purpose-built platform was becoming a bottleneck, slowing down advisors, creating data gaps, and making it difficult to maintain a consistent experience for students.
Our Solution
Worked directly with the team to map their admissions workflows from intake to offer, then designed and built a full-stack Student Management Dashboard tailored to how their team actually operates. The platform was built on Next.js with PostgreSQL and Prisma ORM, featuring role-based access control so advisors, managers, and administrators each have the right level of visibility and control. Student records, application stages, and document tracking were structured around their real workflows rather than a generic CRM model. Authentication was implemented securely, and email automation via Resend was integrated to reduce manual communication overhead. The entire system was built end-to-end in TypeScript for reliability and long-term maintainability.
